    Asus A8N-LA audio driver problem

Hey all...first post here. Seems like a great place, hope you guys can solve my problem.

In searching for my missing driver, I came across this site, read the other threads, but nothing works. Here's the problem. I have an older pc that I just upgraded to Win 7 Ultimate 64bit. Everything works great, except I'm getting an error for the integrated audio "No Audio Output Device Installed"

K, here's the specs (let me know if you need more)

    PC - Compac Presario SR1950NX
    MOBO - ASUS A8N-LA
    OS - Win 7 Ultimate 64bit
Current audio driver installed: NVIDIA High Definition Audio (v1.0.0.59)

    I've tried Realtek drivers...other drivers...nothing works.

Any help is greatly appreciated :)

Download Driverbot Great little program for finding missing drivers....
Other wise try AC/97 Great audio driver works with lots of sound cards.

Are you sure your motherboard is correct? I can't find any info on it on the manufacturer's site.

    Use SIW to doublecheck.

grmreaper, have you tried this driver, Realtek if it still does not work with this driver try loading it in compatibility mode Compatibility Mode the mobo is getting a bit old ,so some drivers do need to be loaded in compat mode if the driver worked in vista it will work in win7 :)

Thanks Pebbly...I changed the compatibility for Vista service pack 2, run as admin, on the installer, and still nothing. Don't understand why everything else for the board works, except that. Just frustrating!

do the drivers actually install ? if they do and you still have no sound, go into the bios and ensure that the onboard audio is enabled
