DPC Latency Problems

When the computer has been powered on for a while (when I leave it on for the night) I get crackling sounds when playing music. A restart solves the problem (DPC goes normal). I have tried disabling almost all devices. Is RATTV3 the way for finding the problem? Had some problem using that tool.

It is possible that your sound card is giving way...your jack plug for your speakers might be touching a bit of metal inside the card.It may need replacing

What I mean is: I've tried disabling the sound card in Device Manager without the DPC going normal. The problem is starting to get annoying. I will try googling some more for a solution.

I know almost nothing about latency issues, BUT I recall some persons with the Intel i5 and i7 CPUs reporting that they have DPC latency problems unless they disable the C3/C6/C7 CPU power states in the BIOS. What's your CPU & motherboard?

Any advices, or do I have to do a reformat? The problem goes away when restarting, and gradually the DPC goes haywire.
