    acer crystal eye drivers

Ok so I googled around and such, nothing but people asking about it and no help. Ok so it does work, on stuff like msn. Now normally on xp it showed the camera in my computer. It does not. The last time I had w7 on this it was rc2 and bsod'd. Seems fine now, but still the cam problem. Is there anything I can do? Maybe a program that can take it over? Really looking for drivers for w7 for it. The model of laptop should not matter as my moms emachines and my Acer aspire ONE both have the same acer crystal eye cam and the same drivers worked, doesn't show for either of us. Drivers for mine only exist for XP but worked fine. Hers have vista but still not showing in my computer.

Again it does work on msn so its not as if its not working period.

The cam probably won't ever show in My Computer. It is not recognized as a network location or storage. This is normal, and nothing to worry about. Try going to Control Panel>Devices and Printers instead.

It shows 2.0 cam but I still cannot use it as a camera ._. I want to be able to click it and use it. I don't have a regular camera so I use this thing D:

You need a third-party program such as Debut to record from a webcam.

I tried to install the drivers. I actually did not on this since I reformatted last night with w7 from xp. It wont even detect it, but it does work on msn. It prompts me to plug in the camera to usb ._. I guess I'll use this prog then.

I have an Acer and installed the camera drivers from the Acer Site.
    Acer Support - Download Drivers
There is a start menu folder called "Acer Crystal Eye webcam" with an icon inside with the same label. Also, the Camera is shown under Hardware>Devices and printers.

    The same here,

it should be called in the devices manager "HD Video WebCam".

The Acer site drivers will install the Microsoft drivers 6.1.7600.16385 + the Acer Crystal Eye Webcam management software depend of your model.
