    Win 7 NIC problems

I have a gigabyte motherboard that has a Realtek NIC. I bought Win 7 home premium and installed it. The NIC shows up in the device manager as having problems. I tried to reinstall the driver and it starts out good but at the end it says that there is a problem loading driver.
I tried a couple different cards that had intel chips and the same problem. Driver starts to load but I get the same error at the end.
Does anyone have info on this? Any help is appreciated

    mweiss, welcome to the forums
can you give more details, such as the model of your board? The Raltek controller's will also help, although it should be in the Mobo's spec

    tks

The board is G41M-ES2L and it has a Realtek RTL8168(P)/8111C(P) PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC.
As I mentioned earlier I did try a couple different cards that had intel chips and I got the same result. I did disable the on board NIC before trying the other cards.
