    Hauppauge Driver HELP:?

Hi, I have purchased Hauppauge WinTV PCI Card from eBay (Hauppauge WinTV 44915 Rev D124 - PCI - PAL!!! on eBay (end time 04-Jun-10 19:37:55 BST)) and after installing it I cannot find a driver so I cant test it:/ I have visited the Hauppauge website but cannot find the driver or software. Can anyone please help me in this matter so I can find out if the PCI card works. Thanks.

The seller states on the auction that Windows 7 saw the card when placed in a PC did your PC see the card and if so what model does it report it as? The reference 44915 did nothing on Hauppauge's site as you stated but in looking at the layout and footprint of the card I believe a starting place would be to download the in place Hauppauge driver update tool from this page Support for the WinTV-HVR-1800 If the card is not seen by Windows 7 as the seller states I'd contact them and see what they did to see it and if he loaded any drivers and which one, best of luck.

    This may get you close:
    Hauppauge Computer Works : Support

You are looking for the 44XXX device. I believe Hauppauge makes their drivers for the chip on the board, not the model #, so if you can look at that (see photos on link) you can use that number to find the right driver.

It does not look like they have made any current drivers for those older boards, so you may need to install the driver in compatibility mode.

Hauppauge makes great tuner cards (I've got 2), but their software is notoriously antiquated and clunky.

Thanks for replying:) Well I went on the website and downloaded two drivers which did not work:/ Now action center in Windows 7 is telling me that this card is not compatible with Windows 7 so Iv emailed the guy I brought it off and am waiting to see if he gave false info on eBay, if I have to send it back I will.

    False information on EBay! Impossible!

That may be a really old card. I've never heard of it. I think you are right to just send it back.

Do you have a PCIe slot available for a new card? Or just PCI?
