    Similar issue

From what I understand, the card is capable of injection, but I have only read ways to patch the driver in Linux, not Windows. Unfortunately, I don't think a work-around could help me, as I am trying to use the Aircrack suite in Backtrack 4, and injection capability is a must. If it is doable in Linux, I would assume there is a way to do in in Windows as well, I'm just not sure how.

    Any help would be appriciated.

I believe you can still use the aircrack suite without packet injection, although tasks will take longer to complete. I have the WiFi link 5100 agn card and i was able get the wep key off my wireless router. I did have to leave it run over night to collect the 1.5 million packets recomended for the 128bit key though.

As for patching the driver i think the best place to ask would be the backtrack forums or ubuntu forums.

    Intel 5100

Ok, thanks. I'll look around on the BT4 forum and see what I can find. If I come up with any way to get injection support, I'll post the link here.
