According to an e-mail I received from Fujitsu this morning, the Window 7 drivers for S510 are due to be released tomorrow (Jan. 5th).

After you make it through the long hold time, they get your serial number. Then they send you an e-mail which instructs you to uninstall the Card minder, Manager, and Organizer. Then you have to login and download version 4.2.14 of the software (they give you a username, password, and link). Then you have to install each program manually. Then you click on another link to download the Windows 7 patches. You are warned not to "use, copy or disclose to anyone" the message or information in the message. This is ridiculous. I am now joining the legions of those who won't buy another Fujitsu product. Although this is a nifty little scanner, the horrible customer support and time-consuming and paranoid process of doing something as simple as updating software and downloading a driver makes continued business with this company not worth it.

    SnapScan S500

Even with a clean install of Windows 7 (vs. a Visa Upgrade) and the original OEM driver disk with 64 bit drivers, you will still need to follow the following instructions in order to get Snapscan to work. It will fail on driver installation on a 64bit Windows 7 install. I have a S500, the older one. Works great... best high speed duplexing scanner out there. I have scanned THOUSANDS of technical books for work here, excellent... all searchable PDFs

    2) In the C:\Program Files (x86)\PFU\ScanSnap\Driver\SsDrvRepair folder, there is a tool called SsDrvRepair-x64.exe, that I ran. It pops up a big red warning against installing unsigned drivers, i install anyway.

Well --- This is a company in need of self re-examination. I was told my fi-5110EOX2 is not suppoted because it is older than five years when I called. I asked the tech support, the machines still work well so what am I suppose to do with it? Just throw it in the bin because it is four years old?

No doubt, the hardware quality of Fujitsu scanner is outstanding but giving the number of time I have spent trying to solve this problem, I will never buy anything that is made by Fujitsu again.

Fix not working for me, Help!

I followed all the directions given, and no luck getting my Fi 5110E OX2 to work using Win 7 Pro 64. The system can't find the drivers, it tells me I have the latest driver, when I try to update the driver, it fails. When I try to repair the driver as discussed in this forum, I click execute and it says scanner not connected.
I tried un-installing scan manager and re-installing it and still no luck.
I have followed all the directions on this forum, what could I be doing wrong?
Any advice is welcome, I miss my scanner

It’s very easy, download the drivers here http://www.cartoonmonkey.com/the-last-fujitsu-product-i-will-ever-own/
    And next do this
Fresh Install of Windows 7 Enterprise
Fresh Install of ScanSnap S510 Manager 4.2
    Double Click "SsDrvRepair-x64"
in the x:\Program Files (x86)\PFU\ScanSnap\Driver\SsDrvRepair Folder
    Accept Warning about installing driver
    ScanSnap now works

I believe all you need to do is run the "SsDrvRepair-x64" and that fixes everything.

    Cheers
    Bye

I wish it was as simple as it was for you. Although I had done all the steps you recommended preveiously, I did them again including un-installing scan manager and re-installing it for the third time, re-installing Windows(2 hours) and double clicking "SsDrvRepair-x64" I still get "scanner not connected" even though in Devices and Printers I can see the unknown device. I tried changing the settings and updating the drivers but Windows say the best drivers for the device are already installed. The scanner still does not work. Anyone?
