Hi Gang---Well learned a few things last night, well worth the time. Did not get the printer to work though. With so many eyes and brains working on this, I am amazed this is not fixed. I had no idea this would get to this point. It seems so simple buy yet so difficult. It just does not make sense. I would have let go of this a long time ago, but there is some thing that I have had all my life, if it don't work fix it. And I am sure this is the same thing that drives many of you on this forum. I guess you would call this the will to learn. We are all driven to learn and figure out why things don't work. This can be a very big burden at times, causing sleepless nights, long hours, frustration, etc. But I would not have it any other way, we all strive to be able to say dam I fixed it, now it works.

I thank all of you, for your time and efforts. too bad we are not a lot closer to each other I would take each and every one, and treat you to lunch, dinner which ever one you wanted. Not much for all the time and effort spent here, but at least something to show my gratitude. Even though it is not fixed yet, I feel we will prevail over this, that is how much faith I have in our abilities. This is one of the best forums I have ever been on, and I have and are on a lot of forums.

    Thanx....Gunny

Lordbob-- You say make sure the host computer has the win 7 drivers. Expain this to me please. What 7 drivers are you referring to.? If you mean the printer drivers, why does the host computer need these for, and if so how do I find the drivers, and get them to the host computer.?

    Thanx...Gunny
That was a fix to the problem I ran into hooking my computer (with Vista) into my parents printer on the XP computer. For some reason, installing Vista drivers on my parents computer fixed it. So try installing the Vista(seven) drivers for the printer on the XP computer.

Hi Lordbob Well me and McBlzr went through this until 2:30am this morning and he could not figure it out either. He used the Teamviewer and still could not fix it. He said he is not done just have to think of more ideas.

I will try your idea, and let you know how it works out.
