Thanks echrada. Im downloading the dropbox software now. Ill inform you on what happens.

Echrada, I downloaded the file and tried installing it. It is waiting for me to "Please plug-in your Acer Crystal Eye webcam device to the USB port". This seems to be going farther than any other file I have tried, but now how am I supposed to plug in the webcam when its built in?

Also, I mentioned before the my USB ports quit working around the same time as the camera did so I would be able to plug anything into them either

Therein lies your problem, the Acer Webcams are all connected internally via usb. No usb connections no Webcam. I would definitely fix the usb connection issue as that is certainly where your problem lies.

Exactly when did your USB connections blow?

Right after I upgraded. I've spent more time (and money) on trying to fix the dang usb connections. In Device Manager after I start up my computer, the connections and symbols for the usb ports are fine and look normal. Then I plug in a flash drive and one after another, they all show yellow exclamations next to them and say theyve been stopped because there was a problem. Ive tried updating all of their drivers but Im told they are all up to date. I've also ran a driver scan and it shows they are up to date. Idk what the heck the problem is here.

Looks that computer is nearly brand new...so it will warranty from the retailler as the internal USB might have some probs....But they might aswell restore all by factory default. Could it be a chance to create restore disk? Then reinstall your Windows 7 Pro?

I know this is not what you want to hear, but I would re-install Windows 7 and then see if there are still issues. Do not use the same flash drive again as that could be what caused the problem in the first place.

echrada, I was going to try reinstalling as a last resort. That looks like what I may have to do..

NoN, how would I go about updating my chipset or making sure its up to date?

Let me time findind the specs as Acer has not yet listed this New one...here in europe.

EDIT:
Here what i found:

Processor & Chipset: "Mobile Intel® NM10 Express chipset"

Try to run the tool from intel site:
http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support?iid=hdr+support "Automatically detect and update drivers and software"

Graphics Card: "Integrated Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 3150"

PS: you should update your User Specs for the Graphics Card.
