I ran the automatic detect program but it didnt really do much. It didnt detect and/or download anything?

But wait...do I need to uninstall Windows 7 Pro or should I just be able to reinstall?

You can just reinstall, when you get to the stage where your are asked where to install to go to advanced and delete the partition where it is installed and then next.

I second echrada's advice with starting over with a re-install.

When your installation is complete, the first thing you should install are the chipset drivers.

In your case, I'd let Windows updates take care of as many of the other drivers that it will find. Before you install any of the security updates & hotfixes, install the list of drivers in the optional updates section.

I agree installing before the Intel Chipset and related to optionnal ones.

You will have time to go in Windows Update, i far prefer making the computer stable.

Reinstalled. Didn't work. Webcam showed up in device manager until I tried plugging in a usb device. I give up. I'll see if I'm still under warranty.

Hi, you should be able to download it from Intel site...just have to run it. at least the webcam appeared.
