Yes, yes. That looks to be my only option left. I will and I'll report when it's finished. Thanks everyone for the effort. :)

But wait...do I need to uninstall Windows 7 Pro or should I just be able to reinstall?

You can just reinstall, when you get to the stage where your are asked where to install to go to advanced and delete the partition where it is installed and then next.

echrada, I was going to try reinstalling as a last resort. That looks like what I may have to do..

NoN, how would I go about updating my chipset or making sure its up to date?
I second echrada's advice with starting over with a re-install.

When your installation is complete, the first thing you should install are the chipset drivers.

In your case, I'd let Windows updates take care of as many of the other drivers that it will find. Before you install any of the security updates & hotfixes, install the list of drivers in the optional updates section.

I agree installing before the Intel Chipset and related to optionnal ones.

You will have time to go in Windows Update, i far prefer making the computer stable.

Reinstalled. Didn't work. Webcam showed up in device manager until I tried plugging in a usb device. I give up. I'll see if I'm still under warranty.
