    New drivers wont install

Hi there all....I know im working on win vista, but win 7 is very similar to it and i had the problem on it too...So i installled win vista recently and started playing a game...played for about 2 hours when my pc crashed, started rebooting and got a bsod with the nvdlmkm.sys error.I thought it s a problem with nvidia and deinstalled the current driver ,restarted and win booted up.Windows automaticaly installed it s own driver (standard vga driver).I kno that i cant play games with the driver so i tried to update the current one but when the installation end and i restart the pc i get the same bsod with the nvdlmkm.sys error.I tried diferent drivers but neither one of the works and the same thing happens.I have this problem for some long time now and it s geting me anoyed.I read several posts on other forums and tons of other pps have this problem. Some ppl say they fixed the problem when renaming the nvdlmkm.sys file .I found several of nvdlmkm.sys files in System32/Driverstore/nv_am.inf_bee4b0bd...............nv_ts.inf_daef8f70 there where about 10 folders that contained the nvdlmkm.sys file.I dont know what to do more i hope you can help me. Heres the error code:

Welcome to Seven Forums. I see in your specs you have the Nvidia 8400M GS. I'm not certian this will work but some people who were having problems with getting the Nvidia Mobile drivers to install were helped by modifing the .inf file using this program NVIDIA MobilityModder It's fairly straight forward and could possibly resolve your problem.I'd give it a try couldn't hurt. You might also want to post this in the crashes abd debugging threads their are a lot of members very qualified in reading your dump file. Fabe
