    Strange, this stopped working for me again. Only thing I did today was some windows updates. Seems to me the last time the program stopped working was when I did some windows updates, but then it came back and started working again. I'll monitor it, but I did the updates first thing this morning, and as of now (about 5 hrs since) the program still is not remembering my folder locations. Strange.

    If you disable the programs auto-start then just run it from a desktop shortcut (or key combination) once everything has settled down it works fine then......

    Better than nothing!

    Not sure on this, but really strange. This didn't work for me all day yesterday, and this morning too. Now, all of a sudden, works perfect. I did no updates or anything this morning. I don't know why this happens.

    I am in the process of re-installing on my new SSD and I wasn't getting it to work. I think I'll try again, maybe just wait a day and it may start again.

    Who knows.

    I just have an AutoHotKey script run at start up to delay the launch of SFF.

    Anything less than four seconds and SFF will run but not recognize any open folders.

    The delay function in SFF does not seem to do anything on my machine.

    The problem might be the x64 version of Win7 or the fact that I am running it on an SSD......

    Can you explain how you did this? I have never used AutoHotKey before. Thanks!

    ; Script Function: Delay start the SFF
    ; C:\Program Files\ShellFolderFix\ShellFolderFixUI.exe - default install location

    #SingleInstance, force
    SendMode Input
    SetWorkingDir %A_ScriptDir%

    SFF_EXE = C:\Program Files\ShellFolderFix\ShellFolderFixUI.exe
    SFF_Path = C:\Program Files\ShellFolderFix

    sleep 4000
    SOUNDBEEP

    Run, %SFF_EXE%, %SFF_Path%, hide

    Sleep 1000
    SOUNDBEEP
    EXIT

    Download and install AutoHotKey
    open "Startup" folder for your OS
    Right click "New" > "AutoHotKeyScript"
    Copy & Paste above script
    Save and Close

    Dont forget to UNCHECK "Start automatically at logon" in SFF
    You can remove the "Soundbeep" lines, I just had them as cues that everything was working properly.....
    Sorry for the threadjack.

    Hello........I have Windows 7.
    I also seem to have the latest version of ShellFolderFix, but it isn't working 'as advertised". My next open folder ALWAYS takes on the dimensions of the one I just used. I look back at page 1 of this thread, and Tweaker says that he wants to fix this. Was it fixed? I have 1.1.4.

    I look in the Options and none of them seem to make sense. Is there one of the boxes I need to check to make this work well?

    All I want is Folder A to be 80% of the screen, Folder B to be 50% of the screen and Folder C to be 10% of the screen. But as soon as I make Folder C that size, Folder A opens to 10% vice 80%.

    Thx for any and all advice.

    I now have the same problem. ShellFolderFix has always worked for me but I've noticed a few unexpected things over a few weeks now, so I put it to the test and while it's definitely doing something to folder size memory as it isn't the same as default Win7.64 behaviour, it isn't actually doing what's required at all now. I haven't found any SFF options that help, restarting SFF makes no difference. I blame windows updates

    Edit.........

    Success. I thought it was worth uninstalling SFF and trying a fresh install but that was the same, so I wondered if the problem was actually 1.1.4. I put on 1.1.3 and it works!
