    Organize\Layout

I can keep an eye out, but unfortunately yes I think you're right, it seems like it would somewhat out of the scope of the app.
You're reply is very much appreciated, thank you!

I'm curious a couple things... (I apologize if they've already been asked; I admit I only skimmed over the thread)
I'm wondering why it is/seems that (at/after user login) all explorer windows 'must' have the same 'layout' (pane) configuration- e.i. navigation pane on or off (which seems to reflect the layout config of the last active window of the previous session).
Would it be possible for each window to remember a unique layout config? For some to have the navigation pane, others to have the previews pane and some to have the menu bar on or off? Is this a technical limitation? Is this something you have thought about or tried to "write around"?

    Thank you! :)

    A question best asked microsoft

I'd say that it's simply a result of them removing the ability of individual folders remembering anything, be it size, position or layout. As little sense as that boneheaded design decision makes, it would have made even less sense if folders had remembered one thing, but not the other.

This is something I've always wanted to have, but I don't know if it's going to be possible. I hope that I can figure out some workaround eventually, as time permits (har har), but secretly I'm hoping MS is going to be faster than me and release an update that fixes it.

Why oh WHY is this app not edited into the OP of this thread as a solution?

Make Windows 7 remember window positions and size!

First, to tweaker, thank you THANK YOU for this app. It works PERFECTLY! However, I just found out about it now, even though it was apparently released back in November. It was mentioned one day ago in the thread I linked above, which I have been monitoring for almost a year. It should REALLY be edited into the OP of that thread as a solution. It is THE solution as far as I am concerned.

    You ROCK tweaker!

    Hi Tweaker / Georg Fischer

I would like to know if the shellfolderfix program can be used in a commercial setup? And if you have any news on a feature like remembering column size and the like for windows explorer windows.

    Thank you very much.

    Regards.

Could you specify a bit further what you mean by commercial setup? Do you mean it being part of a commerically sold package, or just being used on company computers by employees? The latter is fine, the former would be problematic as it conflicts with the license.

There's no news yet regarding remembering any type of view/layout settings. Haven't really had much left over time lately.

    Yes of cause....

The program would be used on our hosting system, so various of our customers might use the program. But the program is not going to be included in any paid software package.

Thank you for a great program and I hope you get time to look at some new features in the coming months.

    Thanks
