Small question: would it require much work to make the program compatible with Windows XP? I would need it to have the default window size customizable (it returns back to system default too often), and to restore the windows in case of system crash. When I try to run it on XP (32-bit version) it complains that entry point of SetWindowThemeAttribute procedure was not found in UxTheme.dll.

From what I remember that isn't the only 7(/vista) specific thing used. I'll have to check what other stuff there was.

As for why the recovery folder popped up every time, even if you closed it, I don't know. That does sound odd because it should only have restored windows that actually were previously open, but if you got everything working like you want we'll just pretend that it never happend
Yikes, the same thing (Recovery Folder opening on start up) just happened to me. I didn't install anything between boots. ShellFolderFix has been installed since the first version and I'm using the most recent version.

Was it just a one time thing, or does it happen all the time now?

I still don't have a clue why that would hppen :) if it happens all the time you could try closing the window, then manually exiting SFF and start it up again (or log out and in). Oh and should it still be there also make sure it's related to SFF at all, by starting windows without SFF.

No, by turning off the "restore previous logon" option, the problem disappeared with one boot. Before that, just rebooting over and over led to the opening of the same Recovery folder in Windows Explorer.

I wouldn't worry about it, since it seems more of a curiosity than anything else, unless another person reports the same situation.

Great app. Forgive me is this was asked, long thread and I'm short on time as of writing this. How do you DELETE a workspace? FEATURE TIP: Make double clicking the desktop open "Last folder etc" for quick access or rightclick to access favorites etc.

Open the workspace manager to delete. At the bottom of the workspace list is a "Workspaces...".

Do you mean adding (parts of) the ShellFolderFix context menu to the Explorer context menu (when right clicking desktop, or empty space in folder windows)?

The GUI wasn't drawing the DELETE button for some reason, now it does most of the time, so thats ok. I was thinking to make it work like Directory Opus, where you just double click anywhere on the desktop and the last folder you were using appears, very convenient.

I fear I may be asking a stupid question. I was looking for something to show me size of folders (as in size on disk), not size and possition of folders that were opened. I installed the app but still folder sizes don't show for folders in detail view, have I got the wrong end of the stick on this one? There was another program called folder size that apparantly worked quite well but Microsoft kindly deleted the API for folder sizes so that no longer works. I have my OS on a 50 gb SSD, so it's important for me to keep my OS tidy but the things filling up fast, any ideas pls?

This only deal with the window sizes and positions :) You could have a look at the Classic Shell which has a feature to show size in the status bar, however I'm not sure if that currently shows folders too, or only files.
