Tweaker. Just came across this. Excellent piece of kit. Love the workplace option. Still tryin' to figure the rest out though, or am I thinking too hard. When I position a window do I need to save the database before closing? Or is it auto-remembering when I close?
There are some other fixes too, see here.
You don't have to do anything more aside from starting the app (and configuring it to your liking), all other functions are extras. It will save the database when the app exits (manually or when windows shuts down or you log off). The manual save is for special usage, for example if you're about to do something where you anticipate a windows crash and really want the latest db saved, or in debugging scenarios.
Hi. Is there some way to add some of the tweaks manually via possibly registry or other settings tweaks, specifically the Explorer Windows Title and Icon tweaks? Your application is well done, but I simply don't need all of its features.
Keep up the good work though.
Hi. I thought this might fix my problem but it doesn't. I would like to be able to set the same icon size for all folders like you could in XP. Your app seems to enable it for some folders but when I browse a disk drive it is always set to the "detail" view with tiny icons - even if I set one folder to "large" icons (which is my preferred view) the next is "detail" again and when I go back the one I set to large has gone back to "detail" too.
That's purely coincidental :) The app doesn't affect view settings (even though I would like it to), that's all up to windows.
Win7 has view settings per folder content type, and it auto-detects what type a folder is (if it's a folder with images, music, etc. etc.). It's indeed rather annoying.
These default w7 template folder views can be changed by user using "customize" folder properties. It then asks if you want that for all folders of the same type.
