The UI looks good, but as the poster above says, the UI itself is not in need of any further improvement or development. I still wish there was an idle trigger added to the program.

    Hi sandeep,
Thank you for doing a great job.
Actually I still prefer the gadget version as it fulfills all my needs. SO I hope you find some time to spend on a gadget
I am working on a new improved gadget with not as much features but more of a better UI design, but this isn't high priority but it will come with the next major version.

Yes along with the new design comes new features, as you can see on the image I posted, the last icon is a processes icon, this will contain features such as

    • If a process is not running
    • If a process has started
    • if a process is idle

I will also be implementing a way for the system to wake up and play a radio station, local media file or even open a program (ie. download manager)

Settings can be saved if you enable the Remember Options checkbox in Preferences.
Make sure you are running the latest version, to check this simply go to Help > About, if the version number is 2.5.0.15 then your good to go :)

    OK guys,

I have almost completed the Shutdown Timer Program, 90% of the functionality is there and there are a few niggles that need to be fixed but it's in working condition. I'm just posting this up for feedback from you guys so I can make further changes etc.

    Changes:
    • Completely Recoded from the ground up
    • Introduced multi threading (Now starts up and works 10x faster than v2.5)
    • Addition of effects
    • Ability to open a file or process when the timer finishes
    • Ability to check if a process is running or not running (the idle part does not work yet)

    Problems:

    • An error with Windows XP, the issue will be resolved in the Beta

    Download

Please provide feedback, this build is just so I know what to do for the next changes.

    Thanks everyone for your input!

I can't get the check boxes in options to work, they just stay blank when I'm trying to check them. I'm on Windows 7 64.

Oh right I see what you mean, but that shouldn't happen.

So your telling me when you click the checkbox it doesn't check? If that's the case I don't know why it is doing that, could be a problem from the VM perhaps? I'm not sure, if anyone else does tell me they are having the same problem I'll try and find out what's wrong.

At the moment I can't reproduce your problem, I have tried running in Windows Basic mode, since that's what it look's like.

btw what os are you running in the vm? Vista or 7?

Update for everyone, I am almost finished, just got the longest part to do... code in the configuration file! HEADACHE!

anyway after all that is done, I just have to make sure everything is working how it is and I will release the first Beta to everyone.

I want to get it done before the end of next week though.
