    Star Wars Empire at War Crashes

    I have Star Wars Empire at War on Star Wars Best of PC.

    Once I start it up, then go to multiplayer and sign in--it freezes. Then I have to start the Task Manager and end process. The actual single player works fine, but I can't get multiplayer to work? Is there a patch of somekind? Please help, I'm a noob here

    Has it ever worked? I suspect a comptuer conflict or network issue.

    You can determine which by;

    There are several ways to find what the problem is. The best is to go into event viewer (type eventvwr in search). Go to the windows log>application tab.

    You want to look for critical errors (they have red in the left column ).

    When you find them you want to look for critical errors that say app hang, app crash, or anything that relates to the problem.

    When you find them please note the event ID, and the source codes and tell us what they are.

    Let us know if you need help with any of this.

    There's a patch someone made to fix this.

    Empire at War EAW and FOC multiplayer Fix

    Download the file linked in the first post and install it, and you're good to go.

    Once you get in to multiplayer too, there's a really wierd match making thing. In the main lobby of the multiplayer, you might not always see servers. Click the option menu on the right, and cycle through the other regions and you'll see other servers around the world.
