Oblivion crashes after oblivion fully loads

    That's not it, because I can't even get to the main menu. Plus, I reinstalled the game and it still has this problem.

    Oh I thought you said after the game loaded when you clicked on a save it crashed.

    Sorry, I've been away from my computer for a while.
    I just installed the latest direct x 9 package, and it didn't work. I am reinstalling the game now.
    I was also thinking about installing it in xp mode, and that may be the only way to do it.

    Reinstalling didn't work, I guess I'll just have to try xp mode.
