    BioShock Infinite

So did anybody see this? Irrational Games released a trailer of their current game. It's a new BioShock by the name of Infinite. It's setting... A city called Columbia... in the clouds.

Don't know what I think about it at the moment to be honest. The trailer looks cool but not the BioShock I know or love.

Sorry I can't post any links at the minute. I'm in work and all gaming sites are blocked. A quick Google search will sort you out though.

    From the PC Gamer article:
It’s not Rapture, it’s Columbia. It’s not underwater, it’s tied to Zeppelins and floating around the world, thousands of feet in the air. It’s not a secret, delapidated cool kid’s club, it’s a spectacle of American achievement with the same agenda as the moon landings. And you’re not a Nameless Nelly, you’re ex-private detective Booker DeWitt.
You could also add: "It's not 1960s, it's 1912." Given all those things, I'm not sure why they're even calling it a Bioshock (other than brand recognition). The only parallels I see are alternate history, utopian/dystopian city, and telekinesis. Which is something, but until now I defined Bioshock by one word: Rapture.

All that said, the game looks fantastic I have tremendous faith in Irrational Games. Can't wait to learn more as details emerge!

Everything I hold near and dear. The flag, zeppelins that look like giant footballs, and big ol' hooters. God Bless Columbia.

Whilst I have my reservations I'm still looking forward to this, but damn! 2012! Is it just me or are game developers showing stuff earlier and earlier?

Nah, it's been a common practice for years to release screenies / footage / details years from release. Particularly these pre-rendered non-gameplay trailers.

    It looks interesting enough though.
