As far as the latest patch, it's available at ftp://largedownloads.ea.com/pub/patches/. Just search for nfsmwpatch1.3.exe, should be the 4th entry from the bottom.
hhmmm... Now... It is asking for the cdrom thing.. Inserted the disk and still the same.
    Give me a crack?
Still didn't find out if it is still the directx..
Where did you get the game from?

This should not be happening if you have the original disc.

    thanks for posting your specs

its say your OS is unknown so the result is fail this could be a bug from the game detection but im guessing your using Vista cause it also says you have "DX10" Vista has DX10 if Windows 7 you should have "DX11" and your graphic card the "Geforce 6200 LE" is fine its faster a little than my old FX5500 try to update it by going to NVIDIA

    here
    Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers

manually input your "Geforce 6200 LE" in "Geforce 6 series" and your OS the Vista(32bit) download it and install it and try to update your game to version 1.3 thats all i can share it for you

and otherwise if you really using a piracy version of the game then that could be your problem and we can't help you...

I'm having similar problem with most wanted on windows 7 - 64 bit. I can only run it in safe mode which runs in 640x480 window which i can increase to 1024 x 800 but not to full screen?

After downloading DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer, what needs to be done next as nothing happens?

Anyway I can run the game?

These are my specs now.. I mean my fast comp.. and OS too..

    Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
GeForce 9500 GT (Certainly not GS)
    Intel(R) Core (TM)2 Duo CPU E7400 @ 2.80GHz 2.79GHz
    4GB of Ram (3.19 usable)
Certainly my net is quite slow 255kbp/s (Download) and 72kbp/s (Upload)

I've updated the drivers to latest.. Sound, video, DirectX (I have DirectX11 and updated again to make sure)
Installed it clean.. patched with 1.3... and when I open it.. (speed.exe has stopped working) I wonder how to run it in safe mode. My motherboard is AsRock something... Just check it out in my "My system specs"
I've searched the net too.. I wonder what is this "Clean Boot" they're talkin about. And how do I do it?

Sorry for talking about crack.. I deleted it and bought the game.. But still the same.. Still doesn't work..
"I can drive as well as CJ man!!" (GTA San Andreas) That's why I so wanna crank this game up and play it..
