Can't maximize window in Diablo II?

    Hi,
I just bought a new computer two weeks ago and it has Windows 7 (64bit). I installed successfully the game Diablo II. At first, when I was starting the game, there was a color problem so I've been told to put to word: -window in the target (at the end) by right clicking on the diablo icon - properties. It actually resolve the issue but now, when I double click on the diablo icon, the game starts but with a small window so I am wondering why I can't maximize the window? Does anybody have a solution on how to maximize the window? I know windows 7 has some compatibility issues with games but it should work. I tried everything.

    Thanks,
    Yannik

You are running it in windowed mode.... The best you can do is to set the resolution to the next biggest that is under your monitor res.

Remove that switch from the shortcut, then: Browse to the start menu folder for DII, go to 'Video test', let it run the test, then make sure you select Direct3D, aka Hardware Rendering. Vista/7 cannot run the game using Software Rendering. There are many problems you can run into.

It's possible this isn't the cause, although it's the number one problem I know of with DII on Vista/7.

Thanks, I did tried that earlier but unfortunatly it didn't work. I also download GLIDE3-to-OpenGL-Wrapper Version 1.4d, it was supposed to be a solution but it didn't work either.

It's bizarre because at first it was only a graphic problem (green neon color) and by changing the mode to windowed: (apply -window in shortcut) it work but the only issue now is that I can't maximize the window.

I honestly have ran out of ideas!
