So it might be a problem of running it on a 64-bit system. Did you try running it in XP mode?
I did try XP mode and it said the same thing. I'll probably just end up sticking with my desktop and buying a new video card

I'll try that. I just uninstalled it and I'm getting ready to clear out anything else relating to it

In addition, have you updated the direct x files?

5 - Update your Direct X files - Contrary to popular belief, just because Windows 7 is DX11 capable doesn’t mean it has the latest DX9 files!!! Most game issues can be fixed by simply updating the DX files.
I actually just updated that about a hour or so ago, restarted my laptop just in case but the game still didn't work.
OK. And thanks for letting me know.

BTW check this out to see if there's something in there that might be of help - Tips on Troubleshooting Game Issues

Okay it's been hours but I just got everything reinstalled. I booted up got the same error checked the problem and it said ffxivboot is incompatible. I've tried running the same on every windows setting and it says the same thing. It shouldn't be my graphics card because my desktop's isn't as good as my laptop and it will run the game though it's a bit laggy so I'll be getting a new one for it anyway.

So does anyone know a way around that ffxivboot is incompatible?
