    Game Stopped working

When I load up Final Fantasy 14 it starts then says game stops working. I saw it was on the compatible list so I'm not sure what to do. My laptop does meet the requirements to start it

Welcome to SF. Don't have a solution, but a comment. How can you have a Final Fantasy with new versions every year? Sort of defeats the meaning of final.

Okay, one suggestion is to make sure you have the newest video driver installed.

Lemur is correct, there was an issue were someone was getting an error and it was solved just by making sure everything was up to date.

The video card is almost up to date, on my pc the video card is lower than my laptops but it will start the game. Actually my laptop has better specs than the desktop, that's why I'm not sure what to do.

Are both your laptop and desktop running Win 7 64-bit OS?

In addition, have you updated the direct x files?

5 - Update your Direct X files - Contrary to popular belief, just because Windows 7 is DX11 capable doesn’t mean it has the latest DX9 files!!! Most game issues can be fixed by simply updating the DX files.

The guy I helped with the same situation was 1 version behind on the drivers Z: you may want to update. Remember close only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades.

So it might be a problem of running it on a 64-bit system. Did you try running it in XP mode?

I actually just updated that about a hour or so ago, restarted my laptop just in case but the game still didn't work.
