    thx for replies all :)

yea the the feeling I got from playing the MoH MP beta was it played much closer to a MW2 clone, but what I was hoping was game play closer to how BFBC2 plays

I have owned BFBC2 since it was it was released and even though the game was released as a bug filled mess it has gotten better and I prefer MP BFBC2 much more than the MP MW2, in fact it has been months since I played MW2
I strongly agree, Medal of Honor felt like it was a cheap rip off of Modern Warfare 2. I enjoyed Bad Company 2 far more than Modern Warfare 2.

One of the best single player games ive played in a long time (though its too short) an AA doesnt work in sp either (try to force it through cp and gun models go all funky) so it looks pretty shocking . The multiplayer is fun as hell and everything seems to work fine

God knows why its being compared to BC2 its a completely differant game , uses the same engine and thats it.

and as for clones black ops is mw2 with differant uniforms it brings nothing new the table..........unlike MOH

WQell it depends on what MOH your talking about becuase i know the first few (Allied Assault, Spearhead, and Breakthrough) arent supossed to work i mean i even called into EA games and they said that it would not work but my friend bought the 10th anaversariy (srry bout spelling) pack and he didnt have any trouble with it ....but i say MOH (the ones i mentioned above) work great!

The MOH series is alright. For the new one i'm sure it's decent but imho, i think it's a wannabe COD..if you want a better FPS go for COD:Black Ops ... but that's just me and my opinion.
Medal Of Honor started it all, how is it a wannabe COD game? If anything its the other way around although CoD has been the new MoH for quite some time.
In the same way that guitar hero is now wannabe rock band.

    I want to cry!
Seriously, I feel like drinking until I can drink no more and forgive the fact that the new Medal of Honor is nothing... NOTHING like the older games; unless I jump off a bridge and never have to hear about it ever again.

Don't take me wrong, I said it before and I'll say it again: I am a huge fan of the Medal of Honor franchise, more than I have ever been one of Call of Duty. I always loved the historical accuracy and the detail put into the games. I adored every single piece of music because it was different than any other games. I applaud Steven Spielberg for convincing the creators of MOH to arrange their soundtracks as symphonic music in the same style as movie soundtracks, and it created a much more dramatic effect that is much more "long-lasting" and rememberable.

MOH Pacific Assault had a strong personal touch to the characters and their relationship, and the 2010 MOH has the same thing, which is good, but throughout the campaign the player switches between multiple characters, so that bond that is created between the player and the character isn't strong enough.

Comparisons between this MOH and MW is, unfortunately, inevitable, but talking about the campaign labeled as "short", I felt like the newest MOH lasts longer than MW1/2 (even if, technically, it might not be). COD games have always been more fast pasted than MOH which relied on accuracy and challenge delivered to players through any and all mission(s). The gameplay of both MW1 and MW2 seem just kind of rushed through, and when I had finally settled, ready to enjoy the game, it was over. Sure, MW2 had its share of surprises compared to the previous game, but in my opinion it was just too overblown with drama. The newest MOH does not have this, for which I am very glad.

My deepest disappointment is the soundtrack. Where was Christopher Lennertz in all this? Where was Michael Giacchino? There is not a single remnant of the old classics such as the original MOH theme, Arnhem Knights, most of the Airborne soundtrack. Instead the people in charge gave the job to Ramin Djawadi who butchered the excitement of playing this game up until the very end, where at least SOME of music is salvaged from this pure blasphemy I had to listen to. And even then, it's just not as strong as the music in the previous games.

The fact that there is no proper tutorial for this game ruins much of the experience, as I needed much more time to get used to the way the control work. During that process, I died, and I died A LOT! Also, the sound in general somehow just doesn't feel right. As far as the single player campaign go, I see absolutely no reason to play it again (at least not soon). No rewards, achievements, MEDALS (for crying out loud); in this light, Airborne was epic... Bigger clips, less recoil and other upgrades for my favorite weapons and those I mostly used in the game; besides, to achieve all the medals I had to (AND wanted to) replay the game a couple more times to get them, which was awesome, and I felt truly fulfilled by accomplishing it all. The newest MOH has NONE of it

If you're still reading this, you must think that I'm just trashing the game. But the fact is that the game really IS good, regardless of being my personal great disappointment. I understand that, perhaps, the creators of MOH wanted to keep their competition with COD going, that's just fine, but why Afganistan again?! I was surprised to hear the name Al-Qaeda and Talibans, and still don't know what to think of it. On the upside, I feel like I have more freedom over my character than during any part of MW games; sure, that means that I died tons of times in the stupidest ways, but even with the annoying music in the background, generally weird sounding guns, being blinded by blur when zooming through a scope to a very long distance, funny looking animations of sprinting, and at times even bad coordination between orders given to my character and what I'm actually supposed to do, the newest MOH game is IMHO at least somewhat enjoyable.

I would like to add a second evaluation of the MP after spending a few days with the patch. There are elements of this game I do like. I do like the option to use offensive support or defensive support. Like another poster said I wish there was a better tutorial. Once someone explained to me the point structure and the use of offensive/defensive support it made for a more enjoyable experience.

I like what they did with adding recoil to all weapons. Makes for a more challenging game. That was my #1 gripe with the game and they fixed it rather quickly.

I think the combat mission mode is fantastic. It seems to force team play even more than the Rush mode in BC2. Maybe it's because of the reduced vehicles. But in any case it's cool.

The game runs much smoother for me than BC2. Being that I have a lower end gaming rig performance is a big deal. That and the fact that MOH doesn't CTD every 30 minutes like BC2 does.

I actually think the sound is better in MOH than BC2. Everything is clear, realistic, and directivity placement is proper. The guns sound realistic.

While there are some simularities to MW2 I think the graphics are better, the dedi server support, and PB makes this a much better game than MW2. I also like the fact that you are not locked to offensive support streak awards. I still think that BC2 is a better game for me but realistically speaking they should be in a different category. BC2 being a battle simulator like ARMA and MOH being a true FPS like the COD series. I will say this though. Playing this game and understanding how it really works now makes me think twice about COD BO and whether I will buy it or not.

I would also like to add that, even though I can't believe I'm saying it, my opinion is slowly being changed when it comes to the soundtrack.
After the disappointment for the music in-game, I admit, I downloaded the soundtrack from a torrent just to give it the benefit of doubt, as I was utterly sure I was not going to buy it. And I must admit that I was wrong. The weird thing is that I don't know why? Was it the generally bad placement of audio in the game, or the lack of good mix between the gameplay and the music? I stand corrected and say that the soundtrack is actually very good, even though (just like all other parts of this game) it resembles nothing I've played (listened) before. At times the soundtrack CD sounds like it wasn't recorded with the orchestra at all, which is kinda refreshing in a weird sort of way... But the point is that I ordered the soundtrack online with the last few bucks I have, and although I won't be listening to it more than older soundtracks, I probably won't regret buying it.
