    Gameguard Games Issues...please help!

I am having trouble with my copy of Win7 that I just purchased. Need some help here! I play a lot of games which is what I built my rig for and a lot of them are MMORPG games that require Gameguard in order to start. For some reason, any game that I start that has Gameguard access starts up and freezes. I don't know what the problem is, but I can't get Grand Chase, Tales of Pirates, Fly For Fun, Dream of Mirror Online, Cabal, Trickster, or Asda Story to work. I really want to know how I can get these games working on Win7! I have tried switching the compatibility but the end result is always the same. I swift load, then a perm crash! After the game freezes, I try to open the Task Manager and shut down the process but it doesn't work. I am really hating this OS right now!
I didn't spend $1200 building this thing for it not to let me play games, and I am really ticked off!

Have you tried compatibility mode??? Try using XP sp2 compatibility mode.
and you might also try running the game as ADMINISTRATOR.
(I have not had any experience using gameguard games, but you might check their forums to see if there are any Windows 7 issues that commonly arise... if it is a window7 issue there might be a lot of other people having the same problems....and hopefully one of them has found a specific gameguard solution.)

    SEE BELOW.

Evidently it is a problem with gameguard itself. the old files were not compatible with Win7. according to : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NProtect_GameGuard

they have updated some of their files so they now work with windows 7, however the games on your computer need to be somehow updated. I did not find any quick download fix at the gameguard homepage, but I was just skimming through it. you might have better luck.

Ok, did a quick search of Gameguard and Windows 7 and found this:

Many people who play games that use GameGuard as an anti-cheating system know that Windows 7 has issues that cause it to crash.

There is a fix though, its quite simple. GameGuard has updated their software to work with Windows 7, but chances are your game hasn't updated the GameGuard software because they feel its not important.

Download the attachment, and replace the GameGuard.des in your game's MAIN folder, NOT in the game's GameGuard folder.

Launch the game normally, play , and pwn.

works on both 32 and 64 bit!

    ----------------------EDIT
alright seems to be a 50/50 thing, try it, hopefully it works. if not, google should be able to help.

Hopefully that will put you on the right track I checked the reference "attachment" but it was no longer available for download.

Sounds like you will need to go to the gameguard website and try to find out where the updates are located.
