I havent really messed with NV much since they started patching it up.
Think I finished it shortly after the 1st Patch was released ....

So Im a bit curious if some of the annoying issues/bugs got a bit better or about the same?

Thanks for the info on DM BTW.
I now have both Dead Money and Honest Hearts(havent played either yet though), just waiting to start a new playthrough. :)

Well I'm not going to be doing another playthrough of New Vegas, but I am going to be starting the Honest Hearts DLC sometime this weekend.

Anyway I think you'll enjoy Dead Money once you start it, I had fun.

As for performance issues, some scripting annoyances here and there, but nothing show stopper and thus nothing to really write about.

Incidentally I got a new monitor (same size - 22") that has a higher native res 1920x1080 vs 1680x1050 so I was kind of worried about performance issues since upping the res but none occured so that was good.

    Later.

    Oh nice.
Can you tell much of a difference at 1080P?

I remember when i first made the same move, the first thing that stood out to me were my WS movies didnt have the black bars at the top and bottom.

And some games seemed .. "sharper" so to speak.

Hmmm, I'm a bit annoyed that bethesda have messed up the new DLC by not allowing the game to continue after completion, I downloaded honest hearts and reloaded my last save (last scene after impossible fight), and watched the ending cutscene again only to be brought back to the title screen, the last save before that was just before I started dead money DLC about 3-4 weeks ago, and I had only just friended the boomers...

Well the monitor I got is an HP which has an IPS panel that has richer colors and better viewing angles over my old HP TN panel LCD.

Anyway colors definitely look better on this monitor, and the Honest Hearts DLC looks great - think Arizona desert with its rusts and red color.

And yeah things do look sharper on this one (HP ZR22w) over my old one (HP2207h).

Anyway I'm playing Honest Hearts right now. I just started so I don't have anything to say other than the graphics look real good.

    @ MrNeeds,

Yeah You do have to start somewhere other than the end of the game. Hopefully you have a save that has your highest level reached?

OK, bear in mind it's early in the game so this is all I have - the good.....

    Very early in the game

Now the bad - Ok, I think I have a problem/found an issue.... for some odd reason the colors in the game is shifting to a moss green

First noticed here. I found that backtracking actually restored the color to normal.

Not too bad but there is a green tint

    Really bad again!

I know it's not the monitor as I can Alt Tab out of the game to the desk top and open an IE page or some other program and all is fine, no color shift, but if I go back to the game, the green tint is still there

Didn't have this issue at all yesterday when I was finishing up Dead Money so again I don't think it's the monitor. Hmmm, looks like a little research is in order.

Will post results later as it's getting late for me now.

Well the green tint only shows up in a few areas, once I got past those it hasn't shown up anymore (yet). However if I go back there, the green tint returns.

Anyway the good news is that it appers to be limited to a small section of the game (I hope).

Tha bad news is that we're back to the same old buggy FONV I hated so much. The game has CDT'd (crashed to desktop) a few times, the last one just a few minutes ago

Aside from those, this really is a good looking DLC. The water down by the rivers look realy really good, and you get waves when disturbed. Anyway some more screens.

Quite a list of fixes I must say. Sounds like the game should be more enjoyable to play now.

    Thanks.
