There is a 90% chance there will not be an update since the same is right at 9 years old.... :S
well thats ok guys, i heard that 343 studios are working on a remake on halo 1 and 2 and they would release on 2011, so real or not i still have something to look for
I actually enjoyed both Halo and Halo 2. Would be nice to see a rehash of the games for Windows 7 :)
No... I haven't tried either one on 7, however I did play Halo 2 on Vista x64. Ran pretty good.
At any rate good luck with the game play as is, and you might give this a look through, though I don't know if anything in it will help - Tips on Troubleshooting Game Issues
Let us know though.
BTW... did you update your DirectX files? :)
5 - Update your Direct X files - Contrary to popular belief, just because Windows 7 is DX11 capable doesn’t mean it has the latest DX9 files!!! Most game issues can be fixed by simply updating the DX files.
I would suggest you monitor any background activity and cut-down on anything unnecessary. Also Defrag your drive/s. I don't know if that'll sort your problem but it will improve performance somewhat.
In the Video Settings, try setting the frame rate to a constant 30 FPS. It sounds like you might be using VSYNC or something, which has varying frame rates.
Also, Halo doesn't work on Windows 7? I've used it perfectly on my Windows 7 PC.
