    AOE 3 CD Key Incompatibility on W 7


    I had problems when installing AOE 3 on Vista - I had to disable my antivirus to get it to recognize the CD key. Now that I'm on 7 I'm having the same problem - it says that the CD key in my box is not valid. I've disabled firewalls, cleared out startup tasks in msconfig, disabled antivirus, updated graphic card drivers, set game execs to run winxp and as admin - nothing works.

    Anyone have any additional suggestions?

    this happens by not capitalizing the letters (A,B,I,O)

    It automatically capitalizes. I gave in and called microsoft support. They gave me about 20 new keys and it still didn't work.

    32-bit or 64
    Also try getting the demo to see how the game acts on your system
