I'm not sure about 7137, I didn't try that build but I tried on 7229 and it seemed allot smoother as well but you get kicked after a couple of minutes, so now I'm back with 7127 and it's not to bad but I think 7100 may have been better.

So many builds and so many different Nvidia drivers it's hard to remember which one was the best, I'm hopping the next Nvidia drivers may be better and get my smooth game play back, using 186.08 BETA driver ATM.

I've had no luck trying to get PB to work on 7137 and 7201.. So I just dual-boot with 7 and Vista. I set up vista purely for cod4 :) problem SOLVED lol until RTM release :)

    Tried this?

KillPuppy over at TF posted this. thought id share with you all. let me know if it works....

    From http://arch1tect.wordpress.com/2009/04/29/...-fix-windows-7/

Currently Punkbuster (the anti-cheat software built into many multiplayer games) has major compatibility issues with Windows 7. Various fixes have been discovered for x32 versions of the Beta OS, but none (until now) for x64. Punkbuster themselves have refused to support Windows 7 until RTM, so forgive the “hackiness” of the fix, but it works.

    The Fix

    In both C:\Windows\SYSWOW64 and C:\Windows\System32

Open PnkBstrA.exe and PnkBstrB.exe’s properties and enable Vista Compatibility Mode, as well as “Run as administrator”. Save.

Right click on the desktop and create a new text file, then copy paste the following:

    Quote:
    :start

sc config PnkBstrA type= own type= interact

sc config PnkBstrB type= own type= interact

    timeout 60

    goto start

Save the text file as punkbuster.bat and run it (as an administrator) before joining a server.

    Problem “resolved”.
Can anyone confirm?, I haven't got 7 installed yet.

Well it seems like it worked for him JDogg.. But as far as I know, only 7100 and 7127 seem to be fine with PB.. I am running 7201 and there is now way to get it working.. Might as well wait or download 7100 / 7127..

That would be the smart way to go. :)

Is it possible to run a virtual XP within 7 and get round Punkbuster for the time being.

If so what's the performance like or does it vary with each one?

    Running on a 3.0Ghz C2D-E6750, 4GB RAM, 8800GTX on Win 7x647201.

At 1360x768 res if that helps!

Running a Virtual XP would slow your machine down due to the extra ram usage, and pb wont load threw it. I would only kick you faster due to a unknown item running which would be seen as a hack or cheat service. If you want to run PB games your best bet is RC7100 or 7127.
