I don't think the vast majority of CoD players buy the game for it's single player campaign mode. Unless you do multiplayer..you won't get $60 worth out of the game.
60$ for around 10 hours (if that long) of SP content

I may get Black Ops and MoH eventually when the price drops but there is no way imho I would pay anywhere near 60$ for either of those unoptimized console-to-PC ports
Like I said, the $60 isn't a good deal for just single player gameplay. That $60 assumes that you will play the multiplayer heavily. In fact, I'd say more CoD players don't do the single player campaign AT ALL...but simply play multiplayer exclusively.
I agree with you imho I don't see any value in the game at all for what little SP content there is if you have no interest in MP and I think most CoD players feel the same

They ruined the dedicated servers. Initially we couldn't even GET to our dedicated server, now we can , it's a PITA to get set up the way we want. All they accomplished with dedicated servers is offloading the CPU cycles from the most powerful PC in the lobby to a dedicated machine, there is almost NOTHING you can change on a ranked server (respawn times, time between matches, looping console messages are nearly impossible to set up). The looping console messages are ONLY active when the person that set them up has his/her rcon tool (from Steam) running, and when one person sets them up, others can't see them in THEIR rcon tool. There is no autobalance, so if 4 players from one team in a 6v6 leave in the middle of a match you end up with 6v2. I'm starting to wonder if it's even worth the $15 a month to have our own server when there are THOUSANDS that hardly have any players on them anyway.

And this is pretty much why I don't bother (at all) with MP playing. Every forum I visit for other games, I read the same thing. I tried the Beta for this game and boy was I NOT impressed with the RAMBO style of the game.

Another thing DEVS have ruined now, they make you go through this run and gun ambushed situations where the only thing you can do is die multiple times so at the end, you feel like the game was longer than it really was

Sadly that rambo style is very common in many of the FPS games these days, imho most MP players only seem to care about k/d ratios and everything else like helping teamates complete objectives are secondary. I guess really the only thing you can do is play in a clan or have a group of friends to play so that every map no matter the gametype doesn't turn into a spray and pray deathmatch.

I was disappointed. It was unplayable for me upon release. Worst lag I've ever had. The patch pretty much cleared that but there's still some stuttering occasionally for me. Others are still having major lag problems. Gameplay is weak. Graphics are really weak. I love how they boasted dedicated servers but have taken away any controls from the user. Definatley not worth the 60 bucks. I think with the exception of the maps MOH is a better game. I paid $25 bucks for it on ebay. Well worth it to me. Much more enjoyable to me.

Played it at a friend's house on Normal, did almost all the missions, don't really care to replay it again on Hardest level, which is what I usually do with all games anyways. It really annoys the hell out of me when I am forced to sit there and wait for their cut scenes to finish whether I care for it or not.

They do allow you to hit the Space Bar to skip the first cut scene but you can't do that with the 2nd cut scene.

FPS games are going the way of the dodo bird I am afraid, more so when 13 to 16yr old kids make up the bulk of the purchasers, who by the way, shouldn't be able to buy it since it is a Rated M game... this is an entirely new post though!

Yes, CoD is a RAMBO style game...no doubt about that. I used to play Battlefield 1942 and later the Desert Combat mod with a bunch of guys at work and an outside clan and I really miss the days of teamwork, vehicles, huge maps, coordination and soldier classes (like ammo, medic, support, etc).
