Windows 7 build 7229 PunkBuster

So pb isn't working with this build?

I'd compare the programmers at PB to trained monkeys, but that would be an insult to the monkeys.

COD WOW still no P/B fix. Back to 7227....

PB is working for me in 7229!

Some steps that could help you:
1. Verify that PnkBstrA & PnkBstrB is listed as Service (PnkBstrB was not listed for me even after some uninstall / install actions)
2. Uninstall and Reinstall PB with pbsvc.exe (Run as Administrator)
3. Verify Step 1
4. If its not working start the PnkBstrB.exe manually before you start your game. Verify that the service is running if not... start it manually

I always got kicked while playing BF2 cause of the windows api function whatever error... since i did those steps its working

The only thing i do now is to start the BF2.exe as Admin... thats all

If you have some questions how do execute 1 of those steps... you are welcome to ask me

Will it work if I have UAC disabled (everything runs as Admin)?

Ill reinstall in the next couple of days and give those suggestions a try. Thanks for the replies..

if your getting punk'd chances are its because punkbuster B is closing on you. what you have to do is open up services, then run the game, tab out and find punkbuster B, go to properties and set it to interact with desktop, then go to recovery tab, and set all the failures to restart it.

you might also have to go to the general tab and select manuel, and then click the start button down below that

that way if it crashs or closes, it will be auto restarted.........problem solved :)
