    Unable to run game.....

I had this game and ran it under XP 32bit, but, now I have Win7 64bit. The game is called Bogle!. When I try to run it, it says that this game is not compatible with this version of Windows. I've had this game for about 10yrs or so and it's a great little time waster. There are no updates available, so I cannot update it. I've tried the "Troubleshoot compatibility" and still nada. Any ideas? BTW, this isn't the commercial Boggle, nor is it as complex, but, a private party made it.

ps, I can upload this game so someone can try to get it to work. Just need an email addy. (it's not a big file, 176k)

Bogle or Boggle? I love Boggle.

    Try running in compatibility mode:

It's not the Bogle that you think it is. It's a very simple game, however, with XP, VBRUN300 was needed to run it. According to the text file that came with it, it was made using Visual Basic Version 3.0. If there was an area here to upload the game, I would and maybe someone can figure it out.

Also, I cannot go to the website, as there is none or even contact the maker.

I also tried most options in Compatibility and still nothing.

Try installing a Virtual Windows XP in your Windows 7 OS. Once your PC has a Virtual Windows XP, install the game in there. See if it works. .

I'm thinking it's more an issue of 32bit vs 64bit as to why the game won't run. Virtual Windows XP would fix that?

I just tried to DL it deom Microsoft and I got this message:
"You are not eligible to download Windows XP Mode. You must have Windows 7 Professional, Enterprise, or Ultimate to run Windows XP Mode"

This game is very likely a 16-bit application that won't run in Windows7
Try Dosbox DOSBox, an x86 emulator with DOS

If you want I can upload a copy of the game, so you can see for yourself. It's not a DOS game.

So use XP mode or XP in VirtualBox to run it

Would I need the 64bit or 32bit version?

In all honesty, I really wouldn't know how to use Virtual Box.

    Try 32bit first.
