The OP does not want to spend for than $150 so a GTX 470 is not an option, please read before you post.

    $139.99 after rebate.......otherwise I would have mentioned the 5850 for $170

You should have should stated with dollars (very hard to pick-out rebate from reading, don't go to the store much do you), besides you even said so yourself you hate rebates and some are very problematic.

The big problem? is you can always go...if I spend $20 more I can get this...ooh look that is only $30 more ect ect. A GTX 460, a 5830, a 5770, a 5850, a GTX 465, for the most part if someone swapped them out in your computer would you notice?
Last card I got was two weeks of torture...(wife won't let me get another card for a long time)...finally got a 4890 last years flagship (at the time)....now I'm like...dang I could have got a 5850!!!
Now XFX has a double lifetime warranty (if you register on their website in so many days). I've read lots of reviews where someones 8800 died and was replaced with a better card...but some got a refurbished 8800...luck of the draw....

    why not a GTX460? a 260 needs two 6 pin power connectors... 460 GTX only $30 more...only needs 450 watts

Agreed. If I wanted more from my card than what I a currently asking, I'll get a better one. Like I said, That's about it in my gaming category. I don't have much time these days to devote my time to multiple games on my PC. I barely have time for my console games.

I can't/won't recommend a card that's two generations back....but if you have just gotta have it only two are listed on the egg.....PNY at $118 shipping and all....the other blows the budget all to pieces....get it whille the getting good. I'll say when they are gone there will be no more....

New cards seem to come out every three months. Being a generation or two behind is inevitable unless you have a nice budget.
