Display scaling problems on "casual" games
Hey,
I just got a new Sony VAIO desktop computer and loaded Windows 7 RC 7100 x64 on it. It has an Intel G45 (?) HD integrated graphics chip. When I go to install and play casual games, like from PopCap (Bejeweled, Bookworm, etc.), the game will not stretch to fill the 1920x1200 screen. The game stays at about either 640x480 or 800x600 in the center of a black screen, which on this screen means the games are really really small. The last computer I played these games on was like 1280x800 resolution, and the games stretched to fill the entire screen.
One of the main reasons I got this computer was to play these games really big on the 24" display, even if the graphics get blurry from stretching so big. Is there any way I can force the Intel chip to scale these games to fit the screen, rather than it trying to preserve the original resolution of the game?
Thanks for any help you can offer!
