Windows 7: Mouse click = delay in game

I think the problem is that you're still not sure of the OS and your hardware; thus, you're killing processes and tweaking your system down instead of up. 7 is not 98SE. Gamers no longer need Black Viper, in fact, going that route does more harm than good.

You have 6GB's of RAM. You can keep all the eye candy on and still play games just fine. You never needed to stop any of the processes to begin with... and perhaps that's what's going on with your game... you've inadvertently killed something you shouldn't have?

If there's a way to undo everything you've done in terms of tweaking, I'm fairly certain BC2 will clear up.

The few times i have had lag issues like that with a mouse the only thing that fixed it was plugging it into a PS2 port using a USB>PS2 adapter. Apparently USB can be laggy due to conflicts that may not show as a conflict, or any number of reasons. PS2 is not a device in the same way and doesn't have anthing to compete with so it has no such issues. I always used PS2 after that for my mouse and never had that issue in any games again. However, with windows 7 i don't seem to have any issues like that at all and i've been using the mouse in USB.

Never had a USB input device, especially a mouse, lag. Not sure where you heard that from but take it with a grain of salt. If it's lagging, the device and or your PC sucks which in your case both seem to rock pretty well.

Do you have your mouse driver installed on another hard disk (instead of your main)? This may cause problems. 80 GB SSD should be plenty of space to put all your drivers, OS, page files, index, and updates on. Perhaps try a reinstall of the game (providing it only happens in that game). If PS/2 works, use it. USB is faster and should work, and like others have said, perhaps you tweaked something to mess it up. I'm not sure if someone mentioned this but in BIOS is legacy USB enabled? Is there a difference when you put the computer into sleep (or hibernate) vs. just shutting it down (unless you already shut it down)?

Do. You'll be pleasantly surprised at how little functionality is lost not using the razor drivers.
