Mouse click = delay in game

    Hey,

    I have a win7 64x with a deathadder 3g.

Whenever I play bfbc2 there, sometimes, seems to be a delay between me clicking the right mousebutton and the game reacting.

I read that there is a delay between the click sound in windows and clicking the mouse, this is not the case here. I have even removed all graphic eye candy except smooth fonts and visual styles on ...bars iirc.

All the drivers, firmware/bios are the latest.

So my question is, do you know of something that can be the problem? Also is there some way to automate visual styles through maybe a bat file so that I can have all the eyecandy on when I´m not gaming?

This is my .bat for starting bfbc2.

    pskill everything.exe
    pskill everything-1.2.1.371.exe
    pskill NvXDSync.exe
    pskill vmware-usbarbitrator.exe
    pskill trustedinstaller.exe
    pskill hqtray.exe
    pskill afcdpsrv.exe
    pskill wish.exe

    net stop "windows update"
    net stop "UxSms"
    pskill WmiPrvSE.exe

    cd "C:\Spel\Bfbc2\"
    start "BfBc2" /abovenormal /b "C:\Spel\Bfbc2\BFBC2Game.exe" +fullproc

Since I don't play BFBC2 I don't think I'll be able to help much but I'v found that if there is a setting to allow the hardware to be in charge of rendering interfaces and menus, if it gets overloaded because it is having a tough time dealing with the 3D portions of the game, that it may cause "input lag" that can consist of mouse clicks, typing, etc. If you have high ping and the menu needs information that comes from a game server, that can cause problems as well (I mention this because you said you have a 3G card and cell networks are horrible for gaming because of the high pings that can be present).

Also, maybe you are loading up too many add ons and your processor just can't give you that instant gratification you're looking for?

I'm just throwing out ideas here.

    Hey,

    Thanks for your input.

The 3g is for the deathadder mouse, it´s simply their 1800dpi mouse sensor.

There are no addons for bfbc2 though.

My ping is fine too, its usually (hard to tell with bfbc2) below 40ms.

Have you tried starting BC2 without any bat file and simply through it's own .exe with just normal priority etc?

common fixes for mouse lag suggested for BFBC2 are to try disabling mouse acceleration and Vsync in the game settings

you might be able to find more suggestions in the BFBC2 EA forums

Try with a wired mouse. Try lowering the graphics even more (in game). check for updates to the game online. Fill out your system specs on your profile for this forum. Definitely don't mess with priorities for games. DO start it normally, if nothing else than just to see the differance it makes.
