    MOH Pacific Assault

    Hi,

Any advice for MOH Pacific Assault, getting it installed on win 7..Doesn't go past disk 2...Just wondered if there are certain time tested tricks for getting installed in Win 7 or if this just wasn't compatible for Win 7 64 bit?

    Thanks!

I am playing Mohaa & Mohaa Spearhead on Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit and Pacific Assault came after these two so I have to assume there shouldn't be a problem.

Perhaps the CD discs are dirty or scratched? I know mine were and I had to make ISOs out of it.

Other than that, do not Autorun but instead go to Explore folder or view folders and Right click on executable and either... Run as Administrator or Run with compatible mode

Tried to install PA several times and got a message about a redundancy file..then installation shut down, once on disc 1, once on disc 2...

tried to install as administrator and also tried to install via compat mode but nothing seemed to work..

so couldn't get it installed, let alone try to play it!

maybe I should just try games made for Win 7

I had a problem installing MoH Breakthrough as well, something about pixomatic.dll and as soon as I installed patch 2.40 it went away... you guys may want to try installing patches for those games.

I am stuck on Breakthrough right now (I hate Bosses) but as soon as I am done, I'll try installing this one.

stupid question but you can install the patch and then install the game? I had always installed the game and then patched..(when I was able to install the game!)

My apologies, I did not understood it completely.

I think I have the Editors Edition or something like this I think it was called and, I have not check but I don't recall having 2 CD's o 2 DVD's... are you sure you are talking about Pacific Assault and not Allied Assault... or any other game perhaps?

Ok so, when you say "it doesn't go pass disc 2", what exactly does it tell you? what's the error message?

Perhaps all you need to do is clean the discs a bit?

it's ok, I got it working on a laptop with XP, even though it didn't meet specs..

Not sure how realistic it is to send a new Marine on a PT boat to the Arizona but lets give it a try anyway!

As far as I can remember, this title was the one I like the least of all the MoH games, perhaps because I played it in Realistic and it didn't show me anything, like crosshairs or a map where I need it to go or every map was pretty much the same once you got into the island... I don't know.

I am going to go through it again because there is nothing good (FPS wise) to play at the moment and it seems that I am going to have to install it sooner than I had expected because I am stuck at a part on Breakthrough that I can't seem to be able to pass... did I mention that I hate playing Bosses with a passion? I mean, taking on multiple tanks (5 or more) with mortar is not even surreal, its just plain stupid and annoying part of a game that they rushed out to the public.
