This may or may not hold any water but... is it possible that the leak demo, since it is only DX9, was meant to be the demo for the Xbox 360 only? Can the 360 handle DX10 or DX11?

The framework xbox is based on I believe is closest to dx9. I'm not a console expert by a long shot. Though I've seen some screens of the folders and stuff, and there's some items in there that would add some credit to that thought.
So... has anyone here played that Beta/Demo yet? is it something that we all can get our hands on? I am in between games (so to speak) and wouldn't mind giving it the ole test for testing sake
Did you not see my link - Crysis 2 leaked.
Anyway - Crysis 2 : Leaked 49 days early - Rage3D Discussion Area
The official demo won't be out until the first of next month.
The beta is all over the place, but it's buggy and missing a lot of basic scripts. It does however contain pretty much the entire dev package as well though. If you are a game modder, you might grab it up just to have those tools down the road when the game is actually released.
Grabbing it up for a chance to play the game would be a real effort and probably quite time consuming too though.
Honestly, if you just want a chance to test it on your system, I would wait for the official demo to be released on the first.
There were people over at rage complaining about performance issues - really???.... on a "leaked" unfinshed piece of code????
lol, some people are just.... well intentionally ignorant.
There are people planning on boycotting crytek because the game looks better on a high end pc than it does on xbox.
All this from an unfinished leaked piece of code..... You’re right.... the word ignorant comes to mind. Stupid would be another.
At any rate those same complainers will wind up finding something to complain about.... Oh let me guess.... DRM?
.... and still buy the game
I know right? I've talked to some pretty avid xbox users over the years, and they just believe it to be the absolute best thing ever, and nothing you say or do can change their mind. I think it may be some sort of buyer's remorse psychosis.
