How to slow a game down?

I recently played Dead Space 1 and i loved the smooth slow feel it has. I don't know how they did it, but i was impressed and i wanted to try to apply this to all games.

I wanted something that reduces the overall speed of the game, now i know something called Frame Limiter may help, but i already used it and it makes the game feel a little bit.. not smooth.

Anyways, is there any way to smooth/slow the game down?

Well if the game haa the ability to accept console commands maybe they might have like a "slowmo" command. Other then that. No. Reducing frame rate is not what you want.

I have no idea why you want to slow down fps..it wont make the game last any longer

Obviously Dead Space was designed that way so unless other games are designed to be played at that "pace" no, you probably won't find a program to emulate Dead Space's game pace. And yeah, you don't want to lower frame rates since doing so will only make the game jerky.

In short, it's a game design.

    Good luck.

    Great game BTW - Dead Space 1 & 2

I was looking for a frame limiter a while back, and unfortunately, there isn't one that works with DX10/DX11 games, just DX9.

Both Dead Space 1 and 2 are DX9 games.

Thats not what i meant. I know there are frames smoother programs, and programs that slow gameplay rate from 1x (normal) to 0.8x . I just can't find it!

Well I for one can't help you with that since I've never used or seen such a program. Sorry. However If you do find one please let us know.

    Thanks
