Game crashes randomly after 10-20 min.

Whenever I play a game (NBA 2K11 for example) it'll play for about 10-20 min., then after that it'll just freeze up and the computer will just turn off itself. Any ideas of why this is happening?

    Heat, memory, etc

Do you see a blue screen? If so

To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

    The procedure:

    * Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
    * Zip up the copy.
    * Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.

    To ensure minidumps are enabled:

Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
    OK your way out.
Reboot if changes have been made.

I that but it still crashes randomly. Do you have other suggestions and no I do not get a blue screen. The screen just freezes and then computer turns off randomly.

We see lots posts about problems with games that won’t run, have bad performance, or simply won’t install under Windows 7. The purpose of this post is to provide some simple tips on troubleshooting basic game issues. It is not all inclusive, nor is it meant to be, considering there are hundreds of things to try when troubleshooting PC games. This is simply a reminder of some basics.

Ok, first off we can’t help if you don’t supply the most basic of information – systems specs. The importance of this can’t be overstated since game performance is highly dependent on your hardware. Please see this tutorial on filling out system specs as well as my How To Ask For Help guide.
    Tips on Troubleshooting Game Issues

System specs will go a long way in trying to figure out what your issue is.

OK I just inputted the information that I know on my computer. The rest are unknown to me since I'm not a real geek on computers.
