    Cooling down a laptop help

This may be REALLY dumb but how do you control the temperature of a laptop cause my laptop has been shutting down automatically while playing games. I think its a bit overheated.

The best 25-35 dollars you will ever spend on a laptop is a cooling pad.

Mine dropped Temps an average of about 15 F. Of course you should also use compressed air to gently blow out the heat exchanger and duct-work. If you dont know how ask before you do.

You can check if it is shutting down because of a thermal event by checking event viewer.

start>search>eventvwr>windows logs>application tab (and system tab)

You want to look for critical errors (they have red in the left column ).

When you find them you want to look for critical errors that say thermal events

please note the event ID, and the source codes and tell us what they are.

Let us know if you need help with any of this.
