    Average gaming laptop temperature?

Are all these temperatures too hot for my laptop?

    CPU: 50 degrees
    Core #1: 42 degrees
    Core #2: 50 degrees
    GPU Diode: 50 degrees
Seagate (don't really know about this): 40 degrees

NOTE: All these temperatures are in celcius and those are before I start a game.

Considering its a laptop those temps are fine ! my pc runs at 20-30 for a laptop 40 - 50 on gameplay are fine

If on idle and runs 40 - 50 i would recomend turning your laptop for an hour or so and flip the laptop over while its off so its lying on the screen basiclly just to get the air at it

    Cheeers

Yeah thats always a good thing to do, my old gaming laptop gets quite hot now, i do the same thing. Though i mostly try to avoid gaming all together on it and leave that to my desktop!

For a laptop, those temps sound just fine. Considering the confined space in which these machines have to work, manufacturers generally do a pretty good job in keeping them relatively cool.

Not really a gaming laptop but my MacBook Pro (15" 2.4 GHz i5) shows 170F (approx. 76C) immediately after exiting Borderlands. Doesn't seem to cause any slowdowns and folks on various other forums say that it is normal but it still makes me a bit nervous.

That's running the Mac OSX version of the game. I'm going to bootcamp the Mac soon and install Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit (I bought the family pack) and see how the gaming experience and temperatures compare.
