Yes. It won't max it out but it should be playable.
With a 2 Gig card it must be very good...

If the quality is playable on a Nvidia Ge force 425 M then I wont purchase it..

How much vram a card has doesn't necessarily dictate how powerful it is. Also the 425m I believe only comes with 1gb of vram. You may see 2gb from shared memory.

One of the most important components for GTA IV is actually the CPU. You can get away with mid-range GPU with a higher end CPU and the game usually will run well (depending of course as its optimization is questionable)

It will run but it certainly won't be playable.

If you can run it on low do it. This game is graphically challenged on max. Flickering textures among many things. It is very hardware heavy though so if this is a laptop its gonna burn hot.

Why not load up one of the older GTA's...because even if it limps along all you can do is wander around and admire the pitiful scenery....

I am planning to install GTA 4 on my laptop..I cheked my system online for system requirements..The results are displayed below..
    Will it support?Will it work??
It will only run at low settings since you only have 256MB of video memory, GTA4 uses about 1.2GB of video memory when at max settings, you laptop isn't even designed for gaming btw

Mobile GPUs are not optimized for gaming, they have slower clock rate than PC cards hence they cannot run most new games properly. The best thing is to get a desktop PC for gaming

Will the performance be acceptable at least in the nvidia card?
