    Fallout 3 Windows 7 64bit. Not working

    Hello.
    So I recently got Fallout 3.
    And I wanted to install it right away because I have played it before and it is AWESOME.
    I start playing Fallout 3 and I select New Game. When He/She is born, sometimes I can name the player and customize Him/Her and if so it freezes at the white screen after Catherine dies. Sometimes it Freezes when He/She is born. So yeah i can`t do anything about it. I`ve tried everything. I Installed It as "Run as Administrator" and Ran the Fallout Launcher as Admin, and changed compability mode to Vista, and still nothing. So yeah I really hope someone knows a answer to this.
    My Specs.
    OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
    Graphics: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5850
    Processor: Intel Core i5-460M (2.53GHz, 3MB HyperMemory)
    RAM: 4GB
    HDD: 500GB
    Acer Aspire 7745G
    So yeah thats it and all the drivers are up to date. Sorry if my English is bad I am from Estonia

    Hi sorry. I did not see your thread.

    I guess your i5 is a duel core. It seems fo3 has probs with i3 i5 i7 multi core cpus and this seems to fix it, or mostly anyway. It is a beth game and is naturally buggy. I hope so you can try it- if not you can always change it back its not hard.. Worked for me and most others with near same probs- and is very common. This same prob is posted here near every day and same fix.

    I wish ya the best..>

    Open up the .ini file located in Documents>My Games>Fallout 3. *Do not alter the one in the actual game directory in Program files labeled Fallout_Default_ini*.

    This file is where the save games etc are at. You might have to turn on show hidden folders or extensions, but it is 1 of the files as soon as you open my games- fallout 3.

    Look In the FALLOUT.ini find the line

    bUseThreadedAI=0
    change the 0 to a 1

    then below it add the line

    iNumHWThreads=2
