The problem whit the patch,.. Yer crytek is doing what thay can to remedy the gigantic problems whit this game since release, the reason people (myself includet) are so pissed off, are that they have made alotta prommises about bugs gettin fixed in nxt patch, and then they dident, most notably the nano cataclysm bug in singleplayer,..
And they damn near almost killed MP, becoz of all the bugs/cheaters/pirates,.. but it definetly helped after last patch, but there are still cheaters on almost every server u enter in MP,.. The gameplay in MP is just the kinda Fastpaced not-too-realistic gungho somewat tactical (the nanosuits) experience i Like, (if u like the more "realistic" MP experience, like BFBC2,.. U will NOT like the MP in crysis2) so im gonna stick whit it, but i can see theres less people on servers now, I just hope they will get these issues fixed down the road,..
on the subject of "cheating" in MP, would a Logitech G19 k/b with pre-scripted actions, be described as a "cheat"?
'cos it would certainly give a player an advantage to have a one-key script setup, say to switch suit/weapon functions in one go, etc..

the way it is, MP play is for speed-merchants only..
    - it's far too frantic..!!

    Crysis 2 Patch 1.2 - Crysis 2 PC 1.2.0 Patch Notes
LOL reading the thread the patch has garnered more complaints than praise. Wow

The thing is is that most of the complaints are on an issue that has apparently been addressed, but was initailly left out of the notes - The Nano suit bug.
What actually is the bug with the nano suit as I personally have not noticed it. I only play SP though.
Prhaps someone whos played the game (I don't have it) can give you a better answer but from what I've read it's got something to do with the suit losing points when the game restarts. I guess you gain points for the suit?

Again I've not played the game as I don't have a copy of it.

My friend told me something about that but, since I also don't have it, I didn't pay much attention to him.

From what he told me just now, he played the whole Campaign in Normal and he thought he had more points to get a better suit options at the end of each round but, from time to time, he would noticed that after getting out and getting back in, his points would lower.

Now, he says that since he went to Hardcore (or whatever the hardest option is called), if he forgets to get something before the next savepoint, his nano suit has 0 points... I guess that is the glitch?

Good Lord, this patch sounds horrible. I'm not quite halfway finished with the campaign and have not yet noticed any problems with losing suit points. That would seriously suck.

There is no flashlight available. In dark areas you have to use "nanovision" where all you can see are heat signatures - you may as well be blind.

In the original Crysis the nanosuit always defaulted to armour mode, whereas in this game it reverts to power (strength) mode. Armour mode now drains power (as in stealth) so has limited use.

There is too much ammo available. I have never yet run out of ammo, and at every ammo dump (and there are plenty) there is always ammo to fill up every weapon you have.

Agreed about the ammo. It is all over the place. On the other hand, I never turn it down when I find it. If there were a comparable situation with the suit - like if it kept its power 2-3 times longer or whatnot - I'd be more ticked off.

I like the nanovision over a flashlight because:
1.) it drains suit power so you can't remain invincible 100% of the time
2.) it's not a run-of-the-mill, dumb flashlight. Kind of like Splinter Cell, but I like SC's version a little more.
3.) you have more range than a flashlight
4.) unlike a flashlight that screams: HEY I'M OVER HERE!, the enemy can't tell you're using it
5.) flashlights wouldn't help you in smoke or fog.

I'm talking SP only, I don't know if these apply in MP.

Probably in the minority but I don't care what DX version it uses. Few games are as fun and good looking as this one. It's nice to see a different kind of armageddon-ish setting. Civilization is mostly destroyed, oh but look at the beautiful sun reflection on that fire-ravaged skyscraper.

The Nano points collected, magically dissapears, when you enter the next map or reload the game,..

making it impossible to "buy" the more pricey perks, ive finished the campaign, whit only the cheapest perks open,.. somewhat annoying,.

I know that bug existed in the beta leak, but I did not experience it in the game I bought.
Of course I didn't unlock stealth tracking until I had killed the first of the four stealth guys at the end, but I did unlock all of them by the end. (it was the last one) In order to do that I had to make sure I passed over pretty much every single alien killed though, to collect the nanos. Some people seem under the impression you automatically gather them, even though they took a moment to point out you had to collect them at your first encounter with the aliens.
I did notice a few of them didn't drop nanos... that sort of bugged me.
It seems only the ones you kill do it (npc kills don't)

I hate all that, I wish they would make the Hardcore mode more for adults and leave the kiddie things for the, well... kids.

Having to walk all over the map to get the nano points is very annoying for me since I like to snipe the bastids from afar . I just wish that they would unlock by itself as you progress in the Campaign but, I guess I am going to have to get used to playing Rated M games that are more made for kids.

I fail to see how increased time and patience required to play properly make it a kids game.
In fact one would think it quite the opposite.

Oh no, please, do not miscontrue, I love taking my time thinking and preparing my battlefield instead of going out all guns blazing but, to play the game properly? why would you need to waste time stepping into a corpse so you can upgrade a weapon? that is just child's play, you know, trying to keep them happy and content within the game so they don't go play something else.

Well same could be said for dog tags and collectables then.
For me they are just additional aspects to the game. You can choose to use them or ignore them.
Going out of my way to kill extra enemies in some areas when it was not needed actually increased challenge and playtime for me.
