Yes, you will definitely need to buy a new motherboard to support your processor. Also, some other components in your existing system might not be compatible with your new motherboard.
Can you give some example of other components that might be affected?
And I might not reply in these days cause I will get busy once the school start again...
Sorry mate. I will leave a reply once I see your answer.

Tell me all the components of your current system, and tell me the motherboard you are going to buy to be able to use the Intel i5-2500k. I will tell you if your components will work with your new motherboard or not.

Please finalize a motherboard you would like, so I could see if it will work well with your existing system or not. And when you can, tell me all the components of your system.

    I would like these two:
    Asus P8H67-M LE
    Intel DH67BL

I have two computers that have the exactly same system and component.
So can you check this for me first?
I will tell you all the components of my system when I can.
    Thanks.

I can't check compatibility until I have a list of components and a finalized motherboard of your choice. Take your time, there is no rush. Reply back when you have picked the motherboard you want and have listed your components.

I will need a little more detail, to be more precise. Please pick the motherboard you want and tell me ASAP so I can start checking for compatibility.

To get a complete listing of your components, download and install Speccy. Then open Speccy, and select File, then Save as Text File. Email the text file to me please.

    Thanks,
