Help me find a gaming laptop (budget $1100)

    hello

i'm searching for a great laptop at a great price, for graphics (photoshop, after effects etc..) and games (though i own both xbox360 & ps3, but i also want the laptop to run games at a playable fps).

    what do u suggest?
and pls give some info about the best graphic card & cpu at the price that i've mentioned above

(if budget is low, just give me ur suggestions even if higher in price than the budget)
    thanks.

To me, Gaming and Laptops don't mix, just like water and oil but, if you are dead set on one, this may help... it is supposed to be done in 2011

I think it's worth to wait for the Sandy Bridge laptops, they feature considerably faster processing power.

Review Intel Sandy Bridge Quad-Core processors

    Verdict

Our tests prove what was to be expected according to some information leaked out in advance: Intel's new quad core Sandy Bridge CPU line up brings a huge performance gain compared to the existing Clarksfield CPUs. Comparing the i7-2720QM CPU to the i7-740QM we observe an outstanding plus of 56.5% on average. Smaller, but still remarkable is the difference between 2920XM and 940XM: +32%.

Waiting for Sandy CPU's is optional and won't do much if your soley using the laptop for gaming. What you need is a high end videocard and core i5 or better so there's no bottleneck.

    Here's a good one: Newegg.com - MSI GX660-053US Notebook Intel Core i5 450M(2.40GHz) 15.6" 4GB Memory 500GB HDD 7200rpm DVD Super Multi ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 Broadway XT

If you want a gaming PC, then get a desktop, it'll save you money in the long run. But if you insist on getting a laptop, I suggest getting the Alienware m11x, you can even customize it the way YOU want it.

Also, welcome to the PC gaming industry, the fun gaming.
