Diablo 2 on windows 7

so im not sure what i did... but if i double click the short cut on my desktop.. it runs with fine colors..., but if i go down to my task bar where i can pin stuff, it starts it up differently and i get the neon colors... 1 time out of 4 though, i got good colors and good graphics...

its either:
good colors, bad graphics
bad colors, good graphics...

1 time i got both...
