games crash after the 1st run

    games crash after the 1st run


    any games that i install runs fine the first time. but as soon as i restart the game, windows asks me to run the application in safe mode and says it was not turned off properly. Doesn't matter if I click yes or no to the safe mode request, the app does not run. please help......

    Hi,
    are you running with the latest driver updates? If not and your unsure where to find them then just post your system spec and I'll supply the links.

    I am absolutely sure that all the drivers are updated. Besides the games I install run fine the first time. If there was an issue with the driver then why would they run at all?

    Did you install the drivers from Windows Update or from Nvidia? maybe your drivers got corrupted after the first install, perhaps you install the drivers wrong, we are just running through the basics since you lacked a bit of info.

    Yes I am sure. I uninstalled and re-installed the game and then it runs. But as soon as I restart, the problem returns.

    Could you please list which game or games are giving you the error message and if they are fully patched (if need be).

    Do we possibly have a timing issue with the bios here?
    I notice the cpu is reported in a odd way.

    Call of Duty 4
    Spider-man shattered Dimension

    I have no if there is a timing issue..........

    Thanks for that although you don't say if they are already patched or not?

    Here is a link for patch 1.7 for COD4 (you may have to install the other patches first?

    It seems for Spidey there is no patch at present although you may find a solution in the actual game forum?
